Pinisi

Ingredients:

2 ¼ Cup Sifted Cake Flour
2 ¼ Cup Sifted All Purpose Flour
6 tablespoon oil
¾ Cup lukewarm water
½ tsp salt
½ tsp. Active dry yeast
½ tsp. Sugar

Procedure

1. Dissolve yeast to lukewarm water, add sugar, and salt. Set aside for 5 to 10 minutes.
2. Combine in a bowl the cake flour and all-purpose flour, mix well. Make a well at the center; add 6 tablespoon oil and the yeast mixture.
3. Stir and knead to form soft dough.
4. Set aside to rest for 30 minutes.
5. Divide dough into tiny portions about 1 ½ tsp. Each forms a rope ½ long by rolling on a table by hand.
6. Shape rope into S shape knots and deep fry until golden brown.

Syrup:

¾ Cup sugar plus 1/3 cup water

Procedure

1. Mix sugar and water in a carajay stir to dissolve. Boil until mixture forms a thread.
2. Drop into syrup all the fried pinisi and keep tossing and turning until syrup coats pinisi and dries.
