Polvoron Cookies

Ingredients:

5 cups All purpose flour
1t. vanilla
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups vegetable lard
2pcs. egg yold
1t. salt
1T. water

Procedure:

1.Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Cut in vegetable lard until pea sized.
2.Toss in water gradually only enought to moisten.
3.Flatten on flat surface and roll to 1/2 inch thick.
4.Cut using cookie cutter, slightly greased with eggwash.
5.Bake until golden brown. Let cool and wrap with colored cellophane.
